(Written in his mother's words) "The most embarrassing thing that's ever happened was the first time ever realizing he was different. When kids don't want to play with him because they think his insulin pump is weird, or that he's contagious.
I'm so thankful for Parker. He handles his diabetes with such maturity. I strive to be as strong as he is everyday. Whether it's checking his blood, or carbing himself for meals and snacks. I can always count on Parker to be my responsible, amazing superhero!"
Best piece of advice from Parker's mother: That no matter how overwhelmed and stressed you get with the disease, to always try to take it as easy as you can on your child. They never asked for this and every day with the struggles they face they need your support and love.
